The Hobbit Movie

After the Hobbit…

The Hobbit MovieI’ll keep this short and sweet. Three movie trailers. Three great reasons to mark your calendar. Three movies to look forward to after the Hobbit. Enjoy! (*after a truly rational complaint, I had to add one more.)

Opening February 1, 2013: Warm Bodies (Hot Zombie Romance)

Opening in May 17th, 2012: Star Trek Into Darkness (Is it me, or does the narrator on this trailer sound like Jean-Luc Picard????)

Opening November 1, 2013: Ender’s Game (A classic sci-fi finally making its way to the big screen)

*OOOPS! Did I say three? I meant four…

Opening June 14th, 2013: Man of Steel (Sorry Becky!)

Completely agree with every single one of these!! I was just chatting to someone on twitter about the new Star Trek and Superman films. (we totally thought it was Jean-Luc Picard speaking on it too!! But I think it’s Benedict Cumberbatch!) Absolutely can’t wait, and we’re off to The Hobbit tomorrow. It’s been too long since Lord of the Rings, it’ll be nice to see Middle Earth on the big screen again! 😀

It’s a good time to be a geek!:) I’m going to see The Hobbit on the 24th with my family. Can hardly wait. And you’re right, it is Benedict…he’s pretty awesome as Sherlock Holmes on the BBC. Anyway, have fun visiting Middle Earth!

I consider Lord of the Rings to be among the finest cinematic achievements in motion picture history. As for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, the closest approximation is The Phantom Menace. I liked The Phantom Menace back in May 1999 and I still do (in defense of… ). But I now know exactly how those who disliked or hated Episode One felt on that fateful evening 12.5 years ago. I feel your pain, for now it is my pain as well.*

I hear so many people complain about the newest Star Wars movies, but I actually enjoyed them. True, not nearly as much as the original Star Wars… but then, no one can come close to being as cool as Hans Solo. I also enjoyed the Hobbit, though making it into 3 movies is definitely dragging things out. That said, I’ll be there for all three! Thanks for your comments, Roger.
