As I pondered whether to blog (everyday) or not to blog (everyday), and finally decided Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays were a reasonable compromise, I was inspired by William Shakespeare‘s Hamlet, act three, scene one, and thus…
To blog, or not to blog (every day), that is the question:
Whether ‘tis nobler in the mind to suffer
Creative angst over what to write…what to write?
Or, chose rather not to blog, but once or twice a week
And by choosing so, to give up: to sleep
A bit more; and by sleep I do mean, sleep in
The writer’s block and thousand natural excuses
Such as fresh air and consuming coffee with friends
Test devotion to my readers, all three or four of them
As do sleep: and perchance to spend more time on my novel: ay, there’s the rub;
For were those efforts to bear little more than death: rejection
Then fair Brigid! Writer’s muse, in thy prayers
Be all my words remember’d.
